Overview of IGC Bihar Programme

The IGC India-Bihar programme began with a Bihar Growth Day Workshop on December 17, 2009 when the Government of Bihar, invited IGC to come to Bihar and help sustain the growth performance of the economy. The IGC India-Bihar programme has identified two key research areas through an ongoing consultation process with policy stakeholders and researchers – ‘Economic Transformation’ and ‘Resource Mobilisation’. A range of products - rapid response notes, research and analytical work, training and dissemination workshops, and events - were and are being commissioned to fulfill the need for independent, policy-oriented academic research.
