I4I Policy Panel: Emerging Challenges - Economic and Social

Ideas for India' (www.ideasforindia.in) - an economics and policy portal run by IGC India Central - completed two years in July 2014. To mark the second anniversary of the portal, a Panel Discussion was organised by the Editorial Board of I4I on Wednesday, 16th July at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi, between 6 pm and 8 pm. The event was held on the eve of the 5th IGC-ISI India Development Policy Conference (17-18 July), the annual conference of the India Central Programme.

The event involved a panel discussion on "Emerging Challenges - Economic and Social", moderated by Ashok Kotwal (Editor-in-Chief, I4I; Professor of Economics, University of British Columbia). The panel included Abhijit Banerjee (Professor of Economics, MIT) and Mukul Kesavan (Associate Professor, Department of History and Culture, Jamia Millia University, New Delhi).
