Workshop on the political effects of programmatic development policy

Past Event Patna, India State

IGC India Bihar will host a workshop to disseminate the results found from the study "The political effects of programmatic development policy: can Bihar break the clientelist trap?".

Jonathan Phillip (PI on the project) will present the findings of this study during the event.

The main aim of the study was to understand how the Bihar government’s reforms since 2005 has changed the attitudes and behaviour of its citizens. The findings show a high impact on voter’s attitudes and various stakeholders, especially organisations such as CARE and Institute of Human development that have shown a strong interest in this area.

Stakeholders from various non-government organisations as well as research institutions will participate.
