IGC-Bangladesh is hosting a dissemination seminar on 'Education at Primary Level: Insights from Research' on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Dhaka.
Two key papers will be presented at the seminar:
- What determines religious school choice? Theory and evidence from rural Bangladesh, by Mohammad Niaz Asadullah (University of Reading, UK), Rupa Chakrabarti (University of Reading, UK), Nazmul Chaudhury (World Bank).
- Do the Extra Hours of Tuition Pay Off: An Evaluation of a NGO Education Support Program, by Ummul Ruthbah (Dhaka University), Atonu Rabbani (Dhaka University), Md. Salim Hossain (Dhaka University), Golam Sarwar (ERG).
Invitees include government officials working in ministries related to education, researchers and academicians, and representatives of NGOs and development organisations.
