This meeting will engage the IGC Pakistan team with a wider set of academic institutions and young researchers in the Punjab and Islamabad region. Research funded by the IGC Pakistan team will be shared with attendees. This includes findings on how to improve public schools, an evaluation of a skills development programme in south Punjab, the possibility of using ICT to improve governance in Punjab and the path to effective socio-economic planning in urban Pakistan.

Smart phones are increasingly being used to advance the agenda of accountability in public service delivery.  This project uses RCT to evaluate use of smart phones for improving governance in health sector in Punjab by monitoring district health officials.
