The IGC extends a warm thanks to all who attended Growth Week 2010. Our largest conference since the IGC was initiated, Growth Week brought together over thirty policy makers from Africa and South Asia with leading academics from the US, Latin America and Europe for seminars, workshops and public discussions. A broad range of key growth issues for low income countries were debated - from microfinance, natural resources and education reform to urbanisation, firm productivity and trade. Country sessions covered IGC partners Ghana, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mozambique, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. Leading academics including Paul Romer, Ricardo Hausmann and Michael Kremer presented new research on agricultural revolution, trade models and education systems. Delegates included representatives from the UNDP, UNIDO, the World Bank, the IMF, and IFPRI.
