Ameet Morjaria is a Post-doctoral Fellow in Sustainability Science at Harvard's Center for International Development. He completed a PhD in Economics at the London School of Economics (2010). His interests are in the economics of developing countries, in particular Sub-Saharan Africa. Ameet's PhD thesis focuses on Kenya and the political economy of deforestation, the value of relational contracts in floriculture exports, the operational impacts of civil conflict on firms, and the political economy of road placement. He received degrees in MRes Economics (2005) and BSc Econometrics and Mathematical Economics (2002) from the London School of Economics. He has consulted for Kaiser Associates and prior to graduate school worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank.
