Anik Ashraf is an In-Country Economist for the IGC-Bangladesh programme. Anik has worked in several research projects in the field of development economics, which include research on microfinance in Bangladesh, poverty trends at sub-national levels, and food security for the poor under alternative policy regimes. Before joining the International Growth Centre, Anik worked as a Research Associate at Economic Research Group, Bangladesh. Anik obtained a Masters in Economics degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada and a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from North South University, Bangladesh.
