Aparna Bijapurkar is an In-Country Economist at IGC - India Central, New Delhi. Aparna holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public and Economic Policy, with distinction, from the London School of Economics. Her dissertation was titled ‘How to Optimise Wage Setting in the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme’.
Aparna has previously interned with the Chief Economic Advisor at the Ministry of Finance, India where she researched alternate solutions to the Public Distribution System for food delivery. Prior to starting her master’s degree, Aparna was an Associate at LECG, an economic consulting firm, and graduated from the LSE with a first class honours, BSc in Economics.
