Taryn Dinkelman joined the faculty at Princeton as an Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Affairs after receiving her PhD from the University of Michigan in August 2008. Her primary fields are in development economics and labor, with a focus on Africa. She has worked on the labor market effects of electrification in rural South Africa, the impact of an informal sector minimum wage in a developing country, and the long-term health and human capital effects of being born in a drought.
