Martina Kirchberger is an Earth Institute Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Columbia University and a Research Associate at the Centre for the Study of African Economies at the University of Oxford. She received her DPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford in 2014. Her research interests are in development economics, with a focus on understanding how labour markets are affected by shocks, individuals' location choices across space, and the cost and impact of basic infrastructure.
