Victor A.B. Davies is a Senior Research Economist with the African Development Bank. Mr Davies' research interests span the economics of violent conflict; macroeconomic policy; and the political economy of economic growth and natural resources. He was the head of the economics department at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and a Visiting Scholar at the IMF Research Department. Mr Davies has also served as a consultant to the Government of Sierra Leone, World Bank, UNDP, New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD), and the International Development Research Centre. Mr Davies holds a doctorate degree in economics from the University of Oxford. His current research includes a project funded by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) on the political economy of government revenues in resource-rich post conflict African countries.
