Research

How can governments in African democracies strengthen post-conflict legal systems? What are the cost-effective tools to promote early childhood development in less-developed countries? How important are spillover effects from exporting? The IGC has developed ten research programmes that respond to these and many other policy challenges in the world's poorest countries.

The criteria for research awards are policy relevance, innovation, involvement of national researchers, and value for money. Our evaluation process seeks to match policy priorities in our partner countries with the outputs of the world's leading researchers. With over 70 projects to date, our research programme hopes to generate innovative ideas for economic growth.
