Firms, Trade and Development Conference 2025

Call for papers: IGC/EGC Conference on Firms, Trade, and Development 2026

The annual conference on the theme of "Firms, Trade, and Development" will be held on 10-11 September, 2026. This event is co-hosted by the International Growth Centre (IGC) and Yale Economic Growth Center (EGC), in collaboration with the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics at Yale University and the LSE Global School of Sustainability. The event will take place in person at Yale University in New Haven, CT, USA.

We welcome papers under the themes of firms, trade, and development for consideration for the conference program. This year’s program will include a new dedicated session on climate, energy, and the environment. This addition is intended to broaden the program, not to narrow the scope of eligible submissions: papers in all relevant areas remain encouraged. The submission deadline is Friday, 1 June 2026 at 23:59 EDT (GMT-4). Late submissions will not be accepted.

Please note, funding for travel and accommodation will be provided to all presenters.
