Call for papers: Young Researchers Workshop (now closed)
IGC/EGC Conference on Firms, Trade, and Development 2025
PEDL will hold a one-day workshop for young researchers on October 23, 2025, as part of the “Firms, Trade, and Development” conference hosted by the IGC and the Yale Economic Growth Center (EGC) on October 24 and 25. Both events will take place in person, at Yale University in New Haven, CT, USA.
The workshop is open to junior researchers who have already obtained their PhD and do not yet have tenure (or are within 8 years of their PhD, if not in a tenure-track position). The theme is the same as the “Firm, Trade, and Development” conference, and participants in the workshop will also be invited to attend the main conference.
We are accepting two types of submissions, both due by Sunday, 7 September, 2025 at 23:59 EDT (GMT-4):
- “Work-in-progress” – These 25 minute talks should be about work at a piloting, experimental design, or preliminary analysis stage. Submissions should include an approximately 2-page description of the project and its current stage of progress.
- “Full presentations” – These 45 minute talks should be about completed work, ready for a standard conference presentation. Submissions should be a full paper draft.
Participants will have the opportunity to get feedback from other presenters, as well as attending senior researchers in the PEDL-IGC-EGC network. Funding for travel and accommodation will be provided to all presenters. As budget allows, we also hope to cover accommodation for those staying for the main conference.
This call is now closed.
