Adoption, usage, and optimal financing of electric cookstoves

Project Active from 1 Mar 2025 to 30 Jun 2026 Sustainable Growth and Energy

Electric stoves could reduce carbon emissions, slow deforestation, and offer potential benefits for low-income households, such as savings on energy spending and decreased indoor air pollution. This project quantifies the costs and benefits of electric stoves and, through a randomised trial in East Africa, evaluates how carbon finance can help promote widespread adoption and usage.
