Are medicines sold by informal “marketers” safe? Drug quality evidence for regulatory action in Sierra Leone

Project Active from to State Effectiveness and Sustainable Growth

This project provides the first laboratory-based comparison of medicine quality between informal vendors and licensed pharmacies in Sierra Leone, focusing on commonly used drugs. By combining lab results with behavioural evidence from a randomised study, it informs enforcement, consumer protection, and public health policy.
