Can soil testing unlock agricultural productivity gains?
This project aims to improve agricultural productivity in Uganda by providing soil-test-based input recommendations tailored to individual plots, addressing the variability in soil characteristics and input complementarities. The study will evaluate the impact of these recommendations on input adoption, yields, and farm profits, and explore whether encouraging farmer experimentation can enhance the adoption and effectiveness of these recommendations.
