Climatic shocks and risk of forest fires in Colombian coffee-growing regions
Project Active from to Sustainable Growth, Firms and Trade
Coffee farming in Colombia faces threats from climate change and forest fires, endangering the country’s economy and more than 500,000 rural households reliant on coffee exports. This project aims to estimate the risk of forest fires in the Colombian coffee regions, assess their impact on coffee productivity, and provide mitigation and adaptation policy recommendations.
