DNA fingerprinting to solve information asymmetries and trigger climate adaptation in India
Project Active from to Firms and Farms
If farmers can expand their crop portfolio with higher-yielding, climate-resilient crops, they can better endure climate shocks and maintain higher productivity levels. This project encourages farmers to adopt new high-yield, climate-resilient crop varieties by testing two programs: price incentives and DNA verification technology to ensure seed genetic purity.
