The effect of community seed banks on farmers input choices, food security, and resilience to environmental shocks

Project Active from to Sustainable Growth, Firms, Trade and Firm capabilities

This project evaluates the impact of community seed banks (CSBs) on agricultural outcomes, resilience, and equity among Ugandan smallholders, using a mixed-methods approach that integrates survey data, administrative records, and experimental preferences. By generating the first large-scale causal evidence on CSB effectiveness and inclusivity, the project aims to inform national seed strategies and support sustainable rural transformation.
