The environmental costs of small-scale farming
Burning agricultural residue is detrimental to public health and the environment. This project involves conducting qualitative surveys among small-scale farmers in Punjab, Pakistan, to explore whether economies of scale and coordination could make mechanised residue collection economically viable, thus transforming an environmental problem into an economic opportunity.
