Just air? Environmental jurisprudence, air quality, and infant mortality in India
This project investigates how Indian judicial rulings affect air quality and infant mortality, using a novel dataset of court cases, judge histories, pollution metrics, and socio-economic indicators. It estimates the causal effects of “green” rulings and explores how public sentiment and media responses shape environmental outcomes.
