Estimating sustainable clean fuel adoption policies in India
Project Active from to Energy, Sustainable Growth, Clean energy, energy and Access to electricity
This project examines how government programmes and subsidy designs influence households’ transition from firewood to cleaner cooking fuels such as LPG and electricity in India. By studying barriers to sustained adoption - including affordability and liquidity constraints - the project aims to identify effective policy strategies that can reduce indoor air pollution, improve health outcomes, and support environmental and climate goals.
