Experimental evidence on the role of information and beliefs about business performance and job opportunities on occupational choices of microentrepreneurs in Mozambique
This study aims to understand why micro-entrepreneurs in Mozambique continue operating low-profitability firms by examining the impact of information constraints and biased beliefs on occupational choices. The project provides accurate business performance data and labour market information to entrepreneurs through a field experiment, examining whether better information may lead them to reconsider business decisions.
