Extreme weather event and Ethiopian manufacturing: TFP analysis, transmission channels, and firms adaptation

Project Active from to Sustainable Growth

This project analyses climatic threats to manufacturing, a sector recognised as a tool for structural transformation. It explores Total Factor Productivity (TFP) effects of non-destructive events like drought, their transmission mechanisms, and firm adaptation strategies, filling a gap in the research on the economic impact of climate in Africa, which has largely focused on agriculture.
