Restricting female employment - one male guardian at a time: Evidence from husbands and employers in Jordan

Jordan has the fourth-lowest rate of female labour force participation globally, and women in Jordan often live under male guardianship. Through a pilot experiment, this project investigates whether husbands and employers restrict the supply and demand for female labour in male-dominated jobs and to what degree reputation concerns drive these restrictions.
