Gendered differences in mobility and the demand for transport: Evidence from a field experiment in urban Ethiopia
Project Active from to Cities and Inclusive Growth
This project investigates gendered differences in mobility in urban Ethiopia through a field experiment introducing an on-call taxi service. It evaluates how improved transport affects travel demand, autonomy, safety, empowerment, intra-household bargaining, and access to services, providing insights to inform gender-inclusive urban transport planning locally and globally.
