This project evaluates the impact of a large-scale, low-cost infrastructure intervention to guide urban expansion on the peripheries of rapidly growing sub-Saharan African cities. It explores the causal effects on income, health, access to services, and livelihoods, offering early evidence on the potential benefits of arterial grid planning.
