Humanitarian aid and its consequences

Project Active from 1 Mar 2025 to 15 Aug 2025 Sustainable Growth, State Effectiveness and State Fragility initiative

Focusing on female-headed households in Pakistan, this project compares cash versus digital aid delivery methods by evaluating cost-effectiveness, usage rates, and the likelihood of diversion by non-recipients. It also uses real political behaviours, lab-in-the-field experiments, and survey approaches to study the impact of aid on recipients' political views and participation.
