Identifying policy avenues to facilitate the transition to large-scale operations in developing countries: Lessons from large firms in Uganda
Project Active from to Firms, Trade and Sustainable Growth
This study examines the factors that enable or constrain the growth of large firms in low-income countries, addressing a major gap in research that has focused mainly on SMEs. Using administrative data, sector profiling, and firm interviews, it aims to inform policies that support high-potential medium-sized firms, productivity, and export growth in line with the government’s 10 Fold Growth Strategy.
