Import tax evasion, drivers and recommendations for Tanzania

This project, in collaboration with the Tanzanian Revenue Authority and the University of Manchester, uses both publicly available and administrative data to identify tax evasion trends, quantify fiscal costs, and develop tools to flag suspicious behaviours. It aims to strengthen audits and enhance Tanzania's import tax revenue collection and state effectiveness.
