Information frictions, technology adoption, and firm-to-firm linkages
Project Active from to Firms and Trade
This project investigates the role of search costs in limiting firm-to-firm matching and examines the impact of trade fairs in alleviating these frictions. By conducting a randomised controlled trial (RCT) at a fisheries trade fair in Chile, the study measures the formation of new business connections, the adoption of new technologies, and the ripple effect of these on the broader network of firms in the economy, assessing their effects on productivity and growth.
