Measuring slums from space
Project Active from to Sustainable Growth, Cities and Cities that Work
This project applies advanced machine vision to high-resolution satellite imagery spanning 20 years, analysing slums across Indian and African cities. By developing a robust network architecture to address challenges such as limited data and overfitting, it enables large-scale studies of slum dynamics, growth, and conversion, generating new insights into urban poverty and development.
