A media experiment to reduce intimate partner violence in Bangladesh
Project Active from to State Effectiveness and Inclusive Growth
Lifetime exposure to intimate partner violence (IPV) leads to economic costs and poor health outcomes, perpetuating poverty among women. Current reduction efforts in Bangladesh are effective but too costly to scale nationwide. This study uses a randomised controlled trial to examine the cost-effectiveness of two “edutainment” campaigns to reduce IPV in rural Bangladesh.
