This project explores a novel approach to increasing tax compliance among businesses in Kampala, Uganda, by enhancing political agency for entrepreneurs. Through in-person town halls and an ICT-based civic participation platform, the study aims to foster state-business relations, build tax capacity, and revive the fiscal social contract, leveraging original survey data and cross-linked business tax records.
