Pull funding for product innovation and learning spillovers: An experiment in the Pakistani surgical goods industry
Project Active from to Firm capabilities
One promising way to promote product innovation is through "pull funding," offering incentives that only pay out if the innovation is successful. This project tests whether policymakers can incentivise firms to upgrade their product mix through “pull funding” innovation prizes. The study will examine whether these prizes incentivise firms to invest in learning how to produce new goods and whether they generate positive spillover to other firms.
