Unpacking quality constraints in the Ugandan carpentry sector

Project Active from to Sustainable Growth, Firms, Trade and Firm capabilities

This project examines why higher-quality workmanship in Uganda's carpentry sector often fails to command higher prices. Using a diagnostic tool, it investigates quality variation, consumer awareness, price-quality links, and production constraints. Insights will guide interventions, such as consumer education or carpenter training, to strengthen incentives for better-quality production.
