Rebuilding trust in local governance: Can community-based cash transfers and deliberation rebuild trust in local leadership in conflict-affected settings?
Project Active from to Sustainable Growth and State Effectiveness
Trust in local governance and leadership is important for sustainable development and peacebuilding. This project evaluates the impact of community-based cash transfers and public engagement on rebuilding trust in local leadership in conflict-affected Ethiopia. It examines whether cash transfers and deliberation improve trust in governance, enhance the targeting process, and foster transparency, especially in contexts where local leaders may have been involved in conflict.
