Rural Economic Clusters: Geography, Structures, and Determinants
Project Active from to Energy, environment and Climate change
This project examines how climate vulnerabilities shape rural economic clustering in Bangladesh across flood- and drought-affected regions. By analysing regional differences in non-farm enterprise development, it explores how geography and environmental risks influence sectoral specialisation, productivity, and resilience. The findings aim to inform climate-adaptive rural development policies and spatially targeted infrastructure investments.
