Scoping analysis of subdistrict-level banking indicators for a spatial and historical dataset on financial development in Bangladesh

Project Active from to Sustainable Growth and State Effectiveness

This scoping project explores financial development in Bangladesh by analysing diverse banking indicators across “upazilas” (subdistricts) since 2019. Using branch-level data, it examines trends like deposits, credit disbursements, remittances, and export receipts while enhancing spatial analysis capacity and laying the groundwork for creating a 1973–2023 panel dataset.
