Sewers and informal settlements in cities in developing countries
This project studies how sewer access affects cities in several developing countries. Using a quasi-experimental approach based on terrain-driven variation in sewer costs, it examines impacts on housing quality, population density, education, and income to inform sustainable urban planning.
