Effect of transition to clean brick kiln technologies on the social and economic wellbeing of brick workers in Bangladesh

Project Active from to Sustainable Growth

This project examines how a shift from traditional to cleaner brick kilns in Bangladesh affects the social networks, financial wellbeing, and access to decent work of low-income, marginalised workers. In partnership with the ARCED Foundation, it employs a prospective cohort study, standardised quantitative surveys, and qualitative interviews, using the International Labour Organisation's just transitions framework.
