The use of high-frequency decentralised data: Constructing a consumption and income panel using transaction-level data from mobile money and bank transfers
This project leverages transaction-level data from banks and Mobile Money (MoMo) to create a detailed consumption and income panel with the aim of improving economic measurement in Rwanda. Structuring and merging the unorganised data provides alternative measurements of national accounts and new potential use cases for policymakers and researchers.
