Advancing women’s political representation in Nepal through cross-party caucuses
Project Active from to Sustainable Growth, Inclusive Growth, State Effectiveness and State Fragility initiative
Nepal's democratic transition exposes challenges in women's representation, with quotas subverted and male-dominated committees hindering progress. Supported by the National Association of Rural Municipalities in Nepal, this pilot forms cross-party women-only caucuses to explore their potential to boost women’s political representation through collaboration and skill-building.
