Worker turnover, wage contracts, and firm productivity in Uganda's manufacturing sector

Project Active from 15 Mar 2025 to 20 Sep 2026 Sustainable Growth and Firm capabilities

This project investigates high worker turnover in low-income economies, where employees frequently leave wage employment to become entrepreneurs, hindering firm growth and productivity. The study aims to understand the impact of wage contract structures on worker separations and to identify effective policy interventions to reduce turnover and promote firm growth.
