Enhancing youth employment and small firms growth

BRAC, the Institute for Fiscal Studies, Stockholm University, and the IGC organised a dissemination workshop to bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers working in the areas of skills development, youth employment, and small firms growth. The overall goal of the event was to inform the policy debate on youth employment and the growth of small firms in developing countries, and to foster the interaction between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.

The event featured a number of research presentations, keynote, and policy speeches. The research presentations reported key results from field projects conducted in developing countries, mainly in Uganda, with an emphasis on policy implications and scalability.

The keynote and policy speeches were delivered by practitioners and policymakers, and were aimed at identifying the main opportunities and challenges for the implementation of new policies in these areas. Presentations are available below.
