Seminar: Seasonal Credit Constraints and Agricultural Labour Supply

Past Event Lusaka, Zambia Firms

IGC Zambia co-hosted a seminar with the University of Zambia on 'Seasonal Credit Constraints and Agricultural Labour Supply: Evidence from Zambia' on Wednesday 11th June 2014 in the University of Zambia Senate Chamber. This study, which is an analysis of the drivers of rural labour supply and agricultural productivity, is based on a study site in Chipata. The study also attempts to establish why small-scale farms fail to achieve higher yields and how this can be mitigated through research informed policy. The paper is envisaged to contribute to credit availability and agricultural policies that aim to improve rural agricultural productivity in Zambia.
