Workshop: IGC Political Economy Group 2014

Past Event Stockholm, Sweden State and Political Economy

On Thursday 12 June the IGC's Political Economy Working Group held a workshop at the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES) in Stockholm, Sweden. This meeting was scheduled the day before a meeting of the CEPR Annual Symposium on Development Economics, held jointly with the PODER network. The date was picked in order to take advantage of the presence of several scholars in development that travelled to Stockholm for the occasion. A number of prominent academics presented papers on political economy issues in developing countries such as Chris Blattman (Columbia University), Emily Nix (Yale University) and Raymond Guiteras (University of Maryland).
