2025 Zambia mining and investment INSAKA
Join IGC Zambia at the Insaka Summit in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development as we share evidence and insights on how mining can drive inclusive growth in Zambia, focusing on strategies for strengthening local content linkages and building sustainable community relations.
This summit brings together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and community stakeholders to explore how Zambia and other African countries can maximise the benefits of their mineral resources. With mining playing a central role in the continent’s economic future, the conversation focuses on building stronger local content linkages and strengthening trust between mining companies and communities.
Participants engage with key questions: How can local firms be supported to participate more effectively in mining supply chains? What strategies ensure that local content policies drive real capacity building rather than compliance on paper? And how can mining companies and governments work together with communities to establish genuine, lasting social licences to operate?
Drawing on evidence from Zambia and other IGC partner countries, the discussion highlights both the opportunities and challenges of ensuring mining contributes to inclusive and sustainable development.
